Altovino opened in the Nob Hill neighborhood of San Francisco in March 2018 under the direction of Chef Nick Kelly. 

​

Chef Kelly is the third generation of his family to work as a chef in California. He comes from Italian and Irish fishing families that immigrated to the U.S.A., arriving in California in the 1960s.

​

The menu at Altovino is inspired by regional cuisine from across Italy, and changes with the California seasons.​

altovino's menu draws inspiration from around Italy, executed with respect towards the seasons and produce of california. we hope these dishes will remind you of your own travels and transport you to tender moments shared with friends and family.
